This is a very large distressed walnut/lyptus keepsake box with handcrafted wooden lyptus hinges. The lid is laminated with alternating lyptus and walnut. This keepsake box measures 17" x 8" x 6.5" high and 3/4" thick. The carcass is crafted using solid 3/4" lyptus. It features box joint joinery and wooden hinges.

This keepsake box has been professionally distressed to give it the appearance of age and use. It would make a gorgeous addition to a mantle or fireplace.

The bottom divider frame and to tray are crafted with walnut and each has a lyptus divider that may be removed for flexibility.

The handcrafted lyptus hinges are affixed to the box with modern adhesives and walnut dowels that run through the entire thickness of both the lid and the back panel of the box.

This one-of-a-kind keepsake box is hand rubbed with several coats of fine Danish oil and buffed with carnauba wax.
