These mantel lanterns are crafted of red oak with a red oak stain applied. These would look terrific on a fireplace mantel or end table. They measure 8.75" high x 6.25" wide and use 3/4" thick stock. These lanterns come with a large (3" diameter) "No Flame" LED T-Light that flickers like a real candle. The T-lights run on two AA batteries (not included) and burn for approx. 220 hrs. continuously on the two batteries. The LED is rated for approximately 100,000 usage hrs. The "seedy" decorative glass is 1/8" thick and is set into groves in the four corner posts.

The entire lantern including the lid is solid wood. The corners are all joined with walnut miller (step) dowels . These lanterns are made of wood and NOT to be used with real candles!
